What is it with the Spring that sends us into a tizzy to get the house Spring cleaned, the body Spring cleansed and the garden bursting into Spring bloom? What happens over the winter to our houses, our bodies and our gardens that an overhaul is required 24/7 for weeks on end just to get everything back up to snuff and fit like it was before the onset of winter? I have pondered this I think more than usual this year because, more than usual this year there is more winter clutter in my home, I’ve acquired a few more winter pounds than usual, and definitely way more winter weeds.
To me, days seems to pass by quicker allowing me less time to do my ‘to do’ list. It seems to me that I just get less done in a day even compared to a year ago and so the long winter brings with it much more clutter, cellulite, and chaos than the year before.
It’s a ritual of sorts this “Spring” thing. So, like you and many others this Spring, I am de-ridding and de-cluttering of all that weighs me down – in my home, my body, and even the backyard. I’ll pass along some of my dust-collecting ’treasures’ at my next garage sale, eat a little less sugar and drink a little less coffee, walk a little more and yes, even get outside and plant a few spring flowers to replace the weeds that reside there now.
Take the Spring challenge – put on a new you, new do, new duds, dust off the cobwebs and sing in the Spring…..
“The world’s favorite season is the spring. All things seem possible in May.”
